350.org is building a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis. Our online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by thousands of volunteer organizers in over 188 countries.
350 means climate safety. To preserve our planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current level of 392 parts per million to below 350 ppm. But 350 is more than a number—it's a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.
350.org works hard to organize in a new way—everywhere at once, using online tools to facilitate strategic offline action. We want to be a laboratory for the best ways to strengthen the climate movement and catalyze transformation around the world.
We think we can turn the tide on the climate crisis--but only if we work together. If an international grassroots movement holds our leaders accountable to realities of science and principles of justice, we can realize the solutions that will ensure a better future for all.

River Network empowers and unites people and communities to protect and restore rivers and other waters that sustain the health of our country.
For more than twenty years, River Network has empowered and united people and communities to protect and restore rivers and other waters that sustain the health of our country. We envision a future when every person knows their watershed and is an active caretaker of their local river, lake, stream or bay. We work for the day when all people, fish and wildlife have access to clean plentiful water. Our headquarter staff in Portland, OR and field staff in Vermont, Maryland, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Utah, Idaho and California work closely with thousands of watershed protection groups from coast to coast – building the capacity of state and local groups, assisting people grappling with water and environmental health problems, protecting habitat for fish and wildlife, developing blue cities and reducing our country’s use of water and energy.

Millions
of gallons of oil have oozed into the water since the April 20th rig
explosion in the Gulf of Mexico. Some estimates calculate the oil flow
to be up to 60,000 barrels of oil a day—that’s 2.5 million gallons of
oil a day contaminating our waters and threatening wildlife and
sensitive habitats! And we still don’t know when it will stop. The
wildlife casualties are adding up. Hundreds of birds and sea turtles
have already been found dead. Hundreds more animals are struggling to
survive, drenched in toxic oil. Sadly, this is just the beginning of
what’s in store for wildlife in the region due to this devastating
tragedy. The National Wildlife Federation has been on the front lines responding to the wildlife crisis unfolding in the Gulf since the BP Oil Spill started on April 20. Their Louisiana-based staff--already working on existing Coastal Louisiana restoration efforts
before the spill--was deployed to help with the initial response. They
have been joined by national staff, affiliates in the region and a
growing network of volunteers. The National Wildlife Federation
is America's largest conservation organization. They work with more than
4 million members, partners and supporters in communities across the
country to protect and restore wildlife habitat, confront global warming and connect with nature. Visit their website: http://www.nwf.org June 2010 featured non-profit partner The Waterkeeper Alliance is our June featured non-profit partner.
